Über Colombe
With a passion for science and sharing knowledge, I completed a preparatory course (PC) after secondary school in Toulouse, before going on to study at the École Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay. Having completed a Master’s degree in planetary science and space exploration, I am currently undertaking an internship at an astrochemistry laboratory in Zurich, where I am studying the Earth’s atmosphere as it was 4 billion years ago, before commencing my PhD.
For over three years, I have been tutoring pupils of all levels in maths, physics and chemistry, and study skills. In particular, I have helped a Year 9 pupil with maths, prepared sixth-formers for the A-levels, and tutored a chemistry undergraduate for a year. These experiences have taught me to adapt to each pupil’s needs and to make scientific concepts accessible and engaging.
I am curious and a good listener, and I enjoy sharing my passion for science whilst helping my students gain confidence and become more independent. Outside of my studies, I enjoy stargazing and reading crime novels.
