• 1) When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?

  My passion for music and the guitar began during my youth in Spoleto while attending the Classical High School. I felt a profound calling to turn this passion into a profession, which led me to Rome to study at the Saint Louis College of Music. Under the guidance of Maestro Lello Panico, I graduated in Modern Guitar, marking the beginning of a 20-year career as a teacher and performer.

• 2) What makes you passionate about your subject?

  I am deeply passionate about the versatility of the guitar and its ability to bridge different genres. Throughout my career, I have performed everything from Big Band Jazz to major Broadway Musicals like Grease, Mamma Mia, and Hairspray. Whether I am playing a Blues set or working as an arranger and transcription specialist, I am constantly inspired by the creative and technical challenges music provides.

• 3) Tell us about your most challenging or amazing teaching experience!

  The most rewarding and challenging experiences have been teaching in diverse international environments. Moving between Italy and Poland, I taught at the American School of Wrocław and even in kindergartens. Adapting my teaching methods to different cultures and age groups taught me that music is a universal language that can connect people regardless of their native tongue.

• 4) What is the most difficult instrument to learn and why?

  While every instrument has its hurdles, I believe the guitar is uniquely challenging because it is easy to start but incredibly difficult to master. To reach a professional level—where you can handle complex transcriptions for companies like Major Score Publishing or play in high-pressure Broadway pit orchestras—requires a perfect blend of theoretical knowledge, physical precision, and relentless discipline.

• 5) What are your keys to success to truly master an instrument?

  My keys to success are Versatility, Attention to Detail, and Persistence:
  
  Versatility: Being open to playing different styles, from Jazz to Pop.
  
  Attention to Detail: Focusing on the nuances of sound and technique, which I emphasize in my role as a session guitarist.
  
  Persistence: Consistent practice and a commitment to lifelong learning, which has allowed me to sustain a 20-year career.

• 6) Name 3 musicians you would love to meet in a bar at 2 AM and why!

  B.B. King: I had the incredible honor of opening his concert at the Auditorium Parco Della Musica in Rome, and I would love to talk to him about the soul of the Blues.
  
  George Benson: I would love to discuss his seamless transition between Jazz and Pop and his legendary phrasing.
  
  Lello Panico: My mentor at Saint Louis College of Music; I would love to catch up on his latest musical explorations and thank him for his guidance.

• 7) Is there an anecdote from your career or studies you'd like to share?

  One of the most defining periods of my life was working as an Orchestra Musician for Royal Caribbean. Performing on the world's largest cruise ships, like Symphony of the Seas, was an incredible experience. Being in the middle of the ocean, playing professional Broadway productions every night for thousands of people, truly sharpened my professionalism and taught me how to deliver high-quality performances under any circumstances.
