Über Carla
Hello everyone! My name is Carla, and I am a native Spanish speaker born and raised in Chile. I currently live in Vienna, Austria. I hold a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in gender studies. I am passionate about travel and languages. I speak English fluently. I have many other hobbies and interests, such as reading, film, politics, history, and teaching. I am also passionate about Latin American history, culture, and music. I have been teaching Spanish for 3 years and have met amazing people helping them achieve their language goals.
¡Hola! Mi nombre es Carla, y soy de Chile. Actualmente vivo en Viena, Austria. Estudié psicología y tengo un máster en estudios de género. Me apasiona viajar y los idiomas. Hablo inglés con fluidez y estoy aprendiendo portugués. Tengo muchas otras aficiones e intereses, como la lectura, el cine, la política, la historia y la enseñanza. También me apasiona la historia, la cultura y la música latinoamericana. Llevo 3 años enseñando español y he conocido a gente increíble ayudándoles a conseguir sus objetivos lingüísticos.

English and Spanish Description:
As a language learner, I understand the difficulties and frustrations that occur when one tries to learn a new language. I have found that an environment where you can feel comfortable and make mistakes really makes a difference. For this reason, I am patient and understanding, which helps make my lessons engaging, productive and enjoyable. I believe that learning a language can be fun, so I will do my best to find a way to make Spanish interesting for you.
My experience:
I have had a different range of students, from beginner to advanced. I have also worked in diverse educational settings: online and in person; with a student and in a group. My experiences have taught me that everyone has different learning styles. For that reason, I use various teaching methods and materials to provide a complete learning experience. Some people need more structured grammar lessons, others interactive. I will structure lessons according to individual needs and interests.
Methodology:
I have created presentations of material in which we can review grammar, expand vocabulary, and practice speaking and writing. If you want, we can practice with a book. For advanced students, we can have conversations and practice writing. I can also provide feedback on your most common mistakes at the end so that you are more aware of them. I can correct your texts or essays.

Mi experiencia:
Estructuraré las lecciones en base a las necesidades e intereses individuales de cada estudiante. Podemos discutir cualquier tema de tu interés para así mejorar y corregir la gramática, la pronunciación, y aprender nuevo vocabulario. No importa tu nivel de español, adaptaré la clase para ti. También puedo entregarte retroalimentación sobre tus errores más comunes al final de la clase para que puedas ser más consciente de ellos.
Como estudiante de idiomas, comprendo las dificultades y frustraciones que aparecen cuando uno comienza a aprender una nueva lengua. Por esta razón, soy paciente y comprensiva, lo que ayuda a que mis clases sean atractivas, productivas y divertidas. Creo que aprender un idioma puede ser entrenido, por lo que haré todo lo posible para encontrar una manera de que el español pueda ser interesante para ti.

Perfekt! Carla bereitet die Unterrichtseinheiten individuell vor, kann also perfekt auf Fragen, Probleme, etc. eingehen. Sie erklärt den Stoff logisch und fasst die Einheiten schriftlich zusammen, sodass man den neuen Stoff auch nach dem Unterricht jederzeit wiederholen und durchgehen kann.
Ihre sympathische Art und ihr Einsatz sind bemerkenswert!Perfekt! Ich hatte schon einige Sprachlehrer, da ich nicht nur Spanisch als Fremdsprache lerne. Aber so schnell wie mit Carla vergeht kein Unterricht. V.a. bei Privatlehrern bzw Einzelnachhilfe hatte ich oft das Gefühl, dass ich mir selber überlegen musste, was wir im Unterricht machen. Carla dagegen ist immer top vorbereitet und jede Stunde macht Spaß mit ihr! Außerdem war sie die Erste, die es geschafft hat, aus mir das rr rauszubringen xD kann ich zu 100% empfehlen!!!!

Carla is an incredible teacher! She's extremely patient and encouraging. I started learning Spanish from her as an absolute beginner, and the lessons she prepared were perfect for my ability. She is an amazing Spanish instructor for all levels. I can't recommend her enough!
Carla is a knowledgeable and patient teacher. Her classes are well-structured and easy to follow. She also constantly makes sure that the concepts are thoroughly understood before moving on to something new. Plus, she is very friendly and tailors the classes according to the student's interests and needs. Highly recommended!
