Über Romeu
I am a Portuguese classical guitarist with a lifelong passion for both performing and teaching.
I started learning the guitar at age 9, and over the past 15 years, I have been fortunate enough to perform internationally and win over 30 prizes in guitar competitions.
I completed my Bachelor's degree in Classical Guitar in Lille, France, studying under Judicaël Perroy and Carlo Marchione. I am currently pursuing my Master's degree at the Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität in Linz under the guidance of Campbell Diamond.
While I actively perform and prepare for international competitions myself, I worked for two years as a guitar teacher at a conservatoire in Wasquehal, France.
This experience taught me how to connect with students of all ages and skill levels.
Having participated in masterclasses with some of the world's leading guitarists (such as Zoran Dukić and Marcin Dylla) and having played in venues like the Royal Albert Hall and Carnegie Hall, I know what it takes to perform at a high level. However, my greatest reward is sharing that knowledge and watching my own students grow, overcome challenges, and discover their own musical voice.

Whether you are holding a guitar for the first time or preparing for conservatoire exams, my goal is to provide the best instructions in a relaxed, supportive environment.
Every lesson is tailored to your specific goals, musical tastes, and learning pace.
I teach:
Beginners: Building a strong foundation, proper posture, and learning to read music while having fun.
Intermediate Players: Breaking through technical plateaus, expanding repertoire, and developing musical expression.
Advanced/Exam Students: Refining technique, mastering stage presence, managing performance anxiety, and building rigorous, effective practice routines.
Lessons can include classical technique, musical interpretation, sight-reading, and music history.
I teach fluently in English, Portuguese, French, and Spanish, and offer both in-person lessons in Linz and online sessions.

I had several other guitar teachers before but what I like in Romeu as a teacher is how fast I progress with him. Apart from being easy to talk with, he is very honest and straight to the point and this helps me understand clearly what i have to do to get better. Apart from being an excellent performer, he is also a great teacher.
If you want to get better and improve your skills (both in a technical and musical level) I highly recommend RomeuRomeu ist ein sehr geduldiger und professioneller Gitarrenlehrer.
