Über Melody
Hello! I’m Melody, a passionate and experienced Chinese language teacher. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree and a Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language from SOAS, London University. With over 6 years of teaching experience, I have successfully guided learners of all ages and levels in the UK, China, Indonesia, and Germany, both online and in classroom settings. During my 4 years at an international school, I also introduced students to the beauty of Chinese painting and the enchanting sounds of the gu zheng (a classical Chinese instrument) as after-school activities.
Additionally, I offer lessons in Chinese painting and gu zheng, both online and at home in Freising.

In my Chinese lessons, I use a communicative approach enriched with multimedia materials such as slides, audio, video, pictures. I also incorporate interactive online platforms like Pear Deck and Nearpod, along with body language, flashcards, real objects, drawing, competitions, games, and songs to make learning effective, playful, and natural.
My classes are conducted primarily in Chinese to immerse you fully in the language.
My lessons are well-structured and flow seamlessly, helping you master the target language step by step. By the end of each lesson, you’ll be able to use what you’ve learned to talk about yourself and the people you know confidently.
