Über Hoi Nam
My name is Jodie Wong, a native Hong Konger based in Berlin.
I hold a Master’s degree in Media and Cultural Studies and work as a cultural practitioner in the arts and cultural field, creating and curating projects that connect people, ideas, and cultures through meaningful communication.
Having grown up in the UK, studied in the United States, interned at the United Nations in Beijing, and completed a working holiday in Australia, I bring a broad international perspective to language learning and cultural exchange.
I am trilingual in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, and comfortable with both Traditional and Simplified Chinese. I also enjoy learning languages myself, including Japanese, Italian, and my German is at B1 level.
In my lessons, you can expect dynamic, culturally rich conversations focused on real-life Cantonese and Mandarin, as spoken by native speakers in everyday contexts.
Each lesson is personalized to your level, goals, and interests—whether you are a beginner or aiming to sound more natural and confident in conversation.
