Über Margulan
My name is Margulan Otanuly, a PhD student in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Geneva, researching in area of gene therapy for neuroretinal diseases. Originally from Kazakhstan, I spent eight years in Germany, where I did my bachelor and master studies.
I speak fluently Kazakh, Russian, German, and English, and I’m currently learning French. My lessons focus on building confidence through practice, encouraging students to learn from mistakes and grow.

I focus on fostering students’ own motivation by encouraging them to try, make mistakes, and learn from them. Each lesson begins with a short warm-up exercise to activate prior knowledge, followed by the introduction of the day’s topic, which fits into the weekly plan. At the end of each week, I assess progress to address individual learning needs. Having experienced how difficult learning can be without proper guidance, I strive to provide a structured, supportive, and motivating learning environment. My lessons are aimed at students from middle and high school up to university level.
