Über Ylenia
¡Hola! I’m Ylenia, 33, a native Spanish teacher from the town of San Sebastián in northern Spain. With over a decade of experience teaching in the UK and Australia, I now work fully online from Spain and Germany, helping students from all over the world. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree, a Diploma in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE), and a Master’s in Montessori Education. Over the years, I’ve worked at Spanish language schools in London and Melbourne (including the prestigious Instituto Cervantes), as well as in primary and secondary schools, where I’ve taught and coordinated Spanish programs. My lessons include interactive slides, real-life dialogues, cultural insights, and fun, personalised tasks designed just for you. Whether you're planning a trip, preparing for the DELE exam, or starting from scratch, I’ve got you! :) I also teach Business Spanish students, drawing from my background in Communication. Aside from teaching, I love travelling! I’ve lived in three countries over the past decade and find it so rewarding to build a life in new places. I’m passionate about my culture and language, and I love organising language exchange events and connecting with multicultural communities wherever I go. My lessons are interactive, practical, and always tailored to each student’s individual needs and learning goals. I combine a structured approach with dynamic activities to make each class both enjoyable and effective. For levels A1 to B2.2, I primarily use Aula Internacional, a communicative and visually engaging textbook series that I access through Campus Difusión (a digital learning platform I was trained in while working at the Instituto Cervantes, where it’s widely used). This gives me access to up-to-date materials, which I can easily share with students. In addition to textbook work, I incorporate interactive games, visual supports, and real-life tasks to make the lessons feel alive and relevant. For students learning Spanish for work, I use professional resources like Mundo Profesional and Expertos, which are specifically designed for Business Spanish contexts. If you're preparing for the DELE exam, I have an extensive library of past exam papers, audio clips, and exam-style tasks to help you feel confident and ready. Whether you're a complete beginner, a professional with specific needs, or a language enthusiast looking to deepen your skills, my goal is to make our classes something you look forward to: clear, supportive, and full of real progress.
