Über Mia
I am studying Psychology and German, and have worked at my school's Writing Studio for 3 years. Having grown up tutoring my younger brother with ADHD, I have developed the skills necessary to make students feel comfortable and open to learn. I am eager to explain concepts in visual, auditory, even tactile ways, and I am deeply invested in the understanding and success of everyone that I serve as a tutor. Due to how much I have enjoyed the experience of tutoring, despite my studies being focused on Psychology, I feel that my calling is teaching.

As a writing tutor, I have 3 years of experience working with ESL students. I am interested in working with students of all ages who have at least a moderate English level. I believe that reading and writing in context are crucial when learning a new language, and my lessons are usually built around those activities. I've learned it's best to let the student guide the session. Naturally, as questions arise, we will focus in and thoroughly clarify specific grammatical topics. I also have experience working with students with ADHD and dyslexia.
