Ich habe Virginia als Kommilitonin während unseres Masterstudiums mit Schwerpunkt Phonologie kennengelernt. Während des Studiums hat sie mich regelmäßig beim Chinesischlernen unterstützt, insbesondere bei der Grammatik, der Aussprache und beim Vorlesen. Dank ihrer Ausbildung als Nachrichtensprecherin konnte sie mir Laute und Betonungen besonders verständlich erklären und gezielt dabei helfen, meine Aussprache zu verbessern. Virginia ist geduldig, kompetent und vermittelt ihr Wissen auf eine sehr angenehme Art. Ich kann sie als Chinesischlehrerin uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Having Virginia as my Chinese pronunciation teacher in Beijing helped me greatly improve my accent. She was very skilled at correcting my mistakes by teaching me how to position my tongue in order to produce the correct sound. Virginia helped each student individually since every single one of us had different needs which were adressed by her. Besides this, she has overall amazing pedagogical skills, and made everyone feel comfortable in the classroom. I strongly recommend Virginia as a Chinese tutor!

I cannot say enough good things about Virginia. Learning Chinese can be intimidating. But with her patient and humourous approach she makes every lesson fun, engaging and stress-free.
In the beginning I had many moments where I struggled with memorizing signs and words, especially during those moments she showed a lot of empathy, warmth and encouragement which helped me through quite some initial frustration. She has a very unique way of making the language feel accessible rather than overwhelming. That is what kept me going and after my early difficulties I quickly saw progress.
Thanks to her help my confidence in speaking has grown massively. I genuinely look forward to every class, she is truly a fantastic teacher who understands how to make learning easier and refreshing. I am not only learning Chinese language but also a lot of fun and entertaining cultural and historical insights about China.
