Über Ksenia
I teach all levels with a personal approach to each of my students - mostly online, but also in real life. I always consider the goals of my students regarding the lanugage I'm teaching as well as their personal interests. I use simple games to develop speaking skills and like to incorporate popular movies, songs and interesting facts about culture, history and philosophy in my lessons. I've taught primary school students as well as adults.
I've always been a language nerd and have a special place in my heart for all things philosophy. My first language is Russian, but I grew up in Switzerland speaking German and Swiss German. In school and in my free time I've learnt English, French and Latin. I have a bachelor in Applied Linguistics from ZHAW, Winterthur.

I'm convinced that learning a language is easy and fun if you do it right. I've already tutored over ten students for longer periods of time and most of them found me through recommendations. Since I've studied applied linguistics at the ZHAW in Winterthur, Switzerland, I have an in depth understanding on how languages work, how they change and develop as well as how to learn them. I take care not only to provide my students with excellent lessons, but also to motivate them to learn on their own. I regularly recommend books, movies, music and cultural titbits to research, so my students don't just learn a language, but also discover culture. This way, my adult students appreciate how I help them learn a language in depth and my younger students celebrate better grades at school.
