Hello! My name is Ceejay, and I am a Licensed Professional Teacher (LPT) from the Philippines with more than seven years of teaching experience specializing in English, academic writing, literature, reading, and research education.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education major in English and am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Education major in Reading/Literacy Education at the University of the Philippines Diliman, the country's premier national university. My academic and professional background has allowed me to work with learners from diverse backgrounds and varying levels of proficiency.
What sets me apart is my commitment to personalized learning. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching methods to suit individual needs, goals, and learning styles. As a Licensed Professional Teacher (LPT) with more than seven years of teaching experience, I believe that learning English should be engaging, practical, and tailored to each student's needs. My goal is not only to help students improve their language skills but also to build their confidence in using English for academic, professional, and everyday communication.
My teaching approach is learner-centered and interactive. I begin by assessing the student's current level, learning goals, strengths, and areas for improvement. From there, I create lessons that are structured yet flexible, ensuring that students progress at a comfortable pace while remaining challenged and motivated.
A typical lesson may include vocabulary development, grammar instruction, reading comprehension, speaking practice, writing activities, and real-world communication tasks. I also integrate critical thinking and discussion-based activities to encourage active participation and deeper understanding.
As an English specialist and research educator, I can assist students in English language learning, academic writing, essay writing, literature, reading comprehension, research writing, presentation skills, and English for professional purposes. My background as a research teacher also enables me to guide students in developing strong analytical, reading, and writing skills.
