Über Camilla

I'm a native Italian speaker from Turin, where I grew up and completed my Bachelor's degree in Culture and Literature. Having lived, studied and worked in different countries, including France and Germany, I've come to appreciate my mother tongue from a new perspective. Italian is much more than the language I grew up speaking: it's a part of my identity, my culture, and the way I connect with people and the world around me.

My background is in communication, literature and performing arts, and I'm particularly interested in how language allows us to connect with others, share stories and discover different cultures.

I know from personal experience how rewarding (and sometimes intimidating!) learning another language can be. Having lived in different countries and learned several languages myself, I understand how important it is to have a welcoming space where you can practise without feeling judged.

I'd love to share my enthusiasm for the Italian language and culture, and help others feel more comfortable, spontaneous and confident speaking it.

Ciao! I'm Camilla, a native Italian speaker from Turin, now living in Berlin.

I studied literature and culture in Italy, completed a Master's degree in Communication in France, and later trained in physical theatre and performance in Berlin. My professional and artistic journey has taken me across different countries, languages and creative environments.

Living abroad has made me appreciate my mother tongue in a completely different way. Italian is not only the language I grew up speaking, but also a way of sharing the culture, humour, stories and little everyday details that make Italy what it is.

Why do I want to teach Italian?

Because I genuinely enjoy meeting people, exchanging perspectives and sharing what I love about my language and culture.

Having learned and lived in several languages myself, I know that speaking a new language isn't just about getting the grammar right. It's also about finding the confidence to express your personality, make mistakes, laugh and connect with others.

I'd love to help you discover Italian in a natural, engaging and personal way.

What I offer:

Italian conversation and speaking practice

Personalised lessons adapted to your level and goals

Vocabulary, pronunciation and grammar support

Everyday expressions and real-life situations

Italian culture, cinema, literature, art and anything else you're curious about!

Whether you're a complete beginner, already know some Italian, or simply want someone to practise with, we'll build our sessions around your interests and needs.

My approach is friendly, flexible and creative, with plenty of room for curiosity and spontaneous conversation.
