Über Sonny
Hey! I’m Sonny, a Korean who was born and raised in Korea. (Team 90s)
I’ve spent a pretty ridiculous amount of time learning languages myself — English, Spanish (Korean SAT), Vietnamese (my major), Japanese (anime!!!), and now German. So I know both sides of the story: being the person who just gets the language as itself, and being the person staring at a grammar rule thinking, „Hä?“
I've worked in international sales at a Korean company for around three years. So I’ve seen first-hand how Koreans actually communicate at work, and how that can be pretty different from communicating with international colleagues.
Basically, I want you to feel comfortable with both street Korean and office Korean.

If you know zero Korean, das ist gut genug~
We start from absolute zero like, „this is 기역, this is how 기역 sounds, this is how you read it“ zero. No assumption that you already know another alphabet or have studied other languages before.
If you already know some Korean, we skip the stuff you don't need and work at your level. And the lessons can change depending on what you actually want to do:
- Everyday Korean and conversation
- Korean for travelling
- Studying in Korea
- Exam preparation (mostly TOEFL I guess)
- Business Korean and Korean workplace communication
- Preparing to work in Korea
- Learning through culture (movies, music, etc.)
- Or for love, whatever
Since I've learned several foreign languages myself, I can also share the little things that helped me — how to memorize vocabulary, how to deal with grammar, how to actually start speaking, and how not to spend a couple of hours studying and remember absolutely nothing the next day.
The goal isn't to make you memorize Korean sentences like a robot. I want you to be able to use Korean without having to translate every single sentence in your head.
And eventually, I want you to dream in Korean.
