Über Lani
Hi, I'm Lani. I am a fluent, near-native English speaker and lived in England for 15 years, where English became the language I use naturally in everyday life, relationships and professional settings. My spoken English is predominantly British.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and previously worked in technology before moving into coaching and therapeutic work. Since 2016, I have worked with people in supportive one-to-one settings, helping them develop greater confidence, self-awareness and personal growth.
What I particularly enjoy is helping people find the confidence to express themselves clearly and authentically. I am naturally empathetic, patient and encouraging, and I believe people learn and grow best when they feel comfortable, understood and free to be themselves.
One area I am especially passionate about is helping people navigate important, difficult and challenging conversations – the conversations that can have a real impact on our relationships, careers, work and lives. Good communication is not simply about finding the right words. It is also about understanding ourselves and others, listening well, knowing when and how to express what matters, and communicating with clarity, confidence and empathy.
Having developed my own English to a near-native level and then lived in England for many years, I understand what it is like to build confidence in a language that was not originally my mother tongue. I know that knowing the words is only part of it – being able to express yourself naturally and confidently in a real conversation is something different.
This is what I would love to help you develop: not simply better English, but the confidence and ease to communicate clearly, navigate meaningful conversations and connect more authentically with people – while genuinely enjoying the process of learning.

My sessions are for adults who already speak some English but want to communicate more clearly, confidently and naturally – with greater ease.
My approach is supportive, empathetic and encouraging. I believe we learn best when we feel relaxed, comfortable and genuinely enjoy the process. That's why I create a warm and enjoyable environment where you can speak freely, experiment with English and make mistakes without feeling judged or pressured.
When learning is enjoyable, confidence grows, conversation begins to flow more naturally, and progress can feel less like hard work and more like something you genuinely look forward to. For me, enjoying the journey is just as important as reaching the destination.
Rather than focusing mainly on textbooks and grammar exercises, we learn through real conversation. We can explore everyday life, work, relationships, travel, personal interests or situations where you want to communicate with greater clarity and confidence.
We can also practise important, difficult or challenging conversations you may face in real life – whether at work, in your career, relationships or everyday situations. Together, we can explore how to express what you really mean clearly, calmly and confidently, while also developing your ability to listen, respond and navigate challenging conversations more effectively.
Along the way, I will help you develop more natural vocabulary and expression, improve your pronunciation and gently correct you when it is helpful.
For in-person sessions in Berlin, we don't have to sit in a traditional classroom. We can meet in a relaxed Café or even have a conversation while walking in a park – wherever you feel most comfortable, inspired and able to speak freely. Online sessions are also available if that suits you better.
Every session is adapted to you – your level, your personality and your goals. My aim is not simply to help you speak better English, but to help you feel comfortable, capable and confident communicating in English in real life – naturally, clearly and with greater ease.
