Über Anoushka
Hi, I am Anoushka Kotak (26) from Mumbai, India. My musical journey started at a very early age with both voice and piano lessons that led to me performing all around Mumbai. I have studied Vocal Performance at the renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA. During my time there I studied with very experienced and renowned teachers/vocalists. I look forward to passing on that knowledge to music enthusiasts of all ages and levels. I have been teaching keyboard, vocals and music theory privately for over 7 years now. I have experience teaching all age groups and also students on the autism spectrum. I have just moved to Berlin and am excited to meet students of all levels and play a part in their musical journey.

I try to balance both technique and repertoire so that my students are having fun while learning and growing as musicians. The format of each class is unique as it is catered to the goals and needs of the student. The vocal warm-ups + technique section will focus on: Breathwork, Range, Tone, Vowel Placement, etc. These techniques will be applied to a song of your choice which can be of any genre from pop to rock jazz to musical theater to any other genre. This will allow us to focus on: Expressing emotions when singing Vocal textures Riffs Genre-specific vocal nuances Elements of Songwriting, etc. My goal is to make all my students well-rounded musicians so we will also work on rhythms, ear training and music theory depending on your inclinations. Overall, the focus will be to explore all aspects of the world of music while having fun!! Looking forward to some wonderful lessons with you all.
