Each unit is based on any level, class, age, etc., where a student is at; an objective set up and agreed upon between student-teacher; and, or based on international standards among native speakers or professionals. The units can be determined based on the need for mastery or comfortability as well as objective standard or acceptable rate of interaction in a particular language aspect or area.
