I have been taking online Spanish classes with Carol for several months now and cannot recommend her strongly enough! Carol's approach to language instruction is engaging and effective; some textbook-like instruction covering language basics (grammar, vocabulary, etc), listening and writing exercises and, plenty of normal, everyday conversation. I get to learn the language itself, learn about the customs and cultures of Spanish-speaking countries around the world, and get to put my learnings to practical use in each and every lesson through chatting about hobbies, interests, and current events.

Carol is very friendly, and has consistently been both encouraging and supportive. She celebrates my progress and, when correcting my errors, takes the time to explain the "why" behind it, which I have found to be immensely beneficial. When explanations don't click, Carol excels at re-framing them, presenting things in the context of approachable examples, and makes a point of revisiting topics I have struggled with in the past to ensure I have properly understood.

Carol makes learning Spanish enjoyable. I always leave our classes energized, motivated, and looking forward to the next.
