Über Nestor
My name is Nestor Cordero-Sanchez, I was born in Madrid and I am currently studying at ETH. I decided I wanted to study math when I was 13 years old, when I got to know the world of math Olympiads. Later, I did the IB, and wrote my extended essay (Matura Arbeit would be analogous) in the algebraic structure of Pythagorean triples, specifically, on the ones with adjacent cathetus.
Looking into the future, I would love to become a researcher in pure math, more concretely, in algebraic number theory or algebraic geometry.
Apart from mathematics, I have been playing the violin since I was 5 years old, and still love to do it. At this time I am part of the AOZ (Akademisches Orchester Zürich), preparing the 5th symphony of Mahler. Moreover, I love to read (fantasy books, mainly), cook, and go horse riding.

I like to talk about possible doubts my students might have through text message so that in our sessions we might be able to discuss exercises together. I firmly believe that the best way to learn subjects as math or physics through practise. Therefore, If my students need more help, I guide them through the solution steps, but, ideally, I would like to see how they approach the problem, and try to find out where the holes in their understanding might be, and try to address them.
