• Since when have you been interested in your subject – and especially in private teaching?

  I have been interested in language, communication, and self-expression for many years. What fascinates me most about teaching German as a foreign language is that it’s not just about grammar – it’s about helping people truly express themselves and feel confident.
  
  Private teaching is especially meaningful to me because I can fully adapt to each student’s needs. In an international city like Berlin, I see every day how important language is – not only for daily life, but also for integration and professional growth.

• Tell us more about the subject(s) you teach and what you enjoy teaching most

  I teach German as a foreign language with a strong focus on communication, speaking, and Business German.
  
  In my lessons, we focus on:
  
  - speaking more fluently
  - reducing hesitation and fear of speaking
  - actively using vocabulary
  - improving pronunciation and accent
  - expressing yourself confidently in professional contexts
  
  A special focus is on German for work and career development:
  
  - meetings and presentations
  - professional communication
  - workplace small talk
  - expressing ideas clearly and confidently
  
  Many of my students live and work in Berlin and realize that speaking German is key to truly integrating and progressing in their careers.
  
  I love working with real-life situations from everyday and professional life. Grammar is always included – but in a practical and applied way.

• Who is your role model as a teacher?

  I am inspired by teachers who create a positive, motivating, and supportive learning environment.
  
  I’ve had teachers myself who didn’t just teach content, but truly cared about their students – and that’s exactly what I want to offer.
  
  My goal is for my students to feel comfortable and confident, especially when speaking in real-life and professional situations.

• What skills are necessary to become an expert in your field?

  In my opinion, a great teacher needs:
  
  - empathy
  - patience
  - the ability to explain complex ideas simply
  - and the ability to motivate others
  
  When learning a language, it’s essential to create a space where mistakes are allowed – because that’s how real confidence develops.

• Can you share an anecdote from your experience?

  Many of my students – especially international professionals – have told me that they feel highly competent in their jobs, but less visible because they don’t feel confident speaking German.
  
  Some even mentioned that this has affected their chances for promotions.
  
  This has deeply motivated me:
  
  I want to help people fully express their potential and feel confident in professional environments.

• How did you become an expert in your field?

  I have studied language, communication, and teaching methods in depth, while also gaining practical teaching experience.
  
  One key principle for me has always been:
  
  Language must be actively used
  
  That’s why I focus strongly on speaking and real-life communication, especially in professional contexts.

• Tell us more about your personal passions and hobbies

  I am very interested in communication, languages, and cultural exchange.
  
  I also enjoy creative projects and everything related to expression and performance – which helps me create engaging and dynamic lessons.
