Hi there, I'm Sahar! I’ve been teaching English for over three years to adults, teens, and kids, both in group and individual lessons, in online and in-person settings. Here are the subjects I teach:

• Conversational English
• Business English
• General English
• Kids & Teens
• English B2 Exam
• American English
• Articulation & Pronunciation
• Job Interview Preparation
• English Homework Help
• For Studying Abroad
• English Literature

I’m passionate about traveling, meeting new people, and experiencing different cultures. That's why being an international tutor is the perfect fit for me – it gives me the chance to connect with people from all over the world. :)

I began my teaching journey by completing a TESOL course and teaching at various in-person institutes. Later, I discovered online platforms that allowed me to teach English internationally, working with students from diverse levels, backgrounds, and needs.

So far, I’ve taught over 500 students from five different continents, helping them improve their general English skills such as reading, writing, listening, and, most importantly, speaking. I offer a variety of courses tailored to different situations, including conversational lessons, business English, introducing young children to the language, etc.

  • How come you speak this language fluently? Is this related to your background or did a teacher once awaken your passion for it?

English has been a major part of my life for many years. My academic background in languages and linguistics naturally led me toward English, but my real passion developed through communication. I’ve always been fascinated by how learning a language can completely change the way you connect with people and understand different cultures.

Over the years, I’ve also had the opportunity to use English with people from many different countries and backgrounds. Eventually, teaching became the perfect way for me to combine my passion for languages, communication, and helping others. I’ve now been teaching English for several years and have worked with more than 500 students from different parts of the world.
  • Name us a personality, whether living, historical or fictional, who best represents this culture for you!

I would probably choose David Attenborough. Although he is primarily known for his work in nature and documentary filmmaking, I think he represents something I really appreciate about English-speaking culture: curiosity, communication, and the ability to tell compelling stories.

What I particularly admire is the way he uses language to make complex subjects accessible and engaging. As a teacher, I find that very inspiring because I believe good communication isn't about using the most complicated words. It's about making your message clear, natural and memorable.
  • Is there a word, expression, tradition, or typical behavior in the language you teach that particularly impresses or amuses you?

One expression I really like is “It’s not my cup of tea.” It’s such a simple and typically English way of saying that you don't particularly like something, without sounding too direct.

I also love how many English expressions are deeply connected to everyday life. Phrases like “break the ice,” “get the ball rolling,” or “see eye to eye” can seem strange if you translate them literally, but once you understand the meaning, they make English much more vivid.

That's actually one of the things I enjoy teaching most: the English that people genuinely use in real conversations, rather than English that only exists in textbooks.
  • Why do you think it is so important to master this language?

English is much more than a school subject. It is one of the main languages of international communication, so being comfortable in English can open doors academically, professionally and personally.

For students, it can mean access to international universities, academic resources and exams such as Cambridge and IELTS. For professionals, it can make international meetings, interviews, presentations and networking much easier.

But there is also a more personal side. Speaking English gives you the freedom to travel, make friends from different countries, consume information without constantly relying on translations, and feel more confident in unfamiliar situations.
  • What is the particular difficulty when it comes to learning this language or why is it particularly worthwhile?

One of the biggest challenges is that English often doesn't behave as logically as learners expect. Pronunciation can be particularly frustrating because the same letters can be pronounced differently in different words, and there are countless expressions that cannot simply be translated word for word.

Another challenge is moving from knowing English to actually using it. Many learners understand grammar and vocabulary perfectly well but become nervous or hesitant when they have to speak.

That's why I put a strong emphasis on speaking in my lessons. I want students to use the language, make mistakes, receive useful feedback, and gradually become comfortable expressing themselves naturally.
  • Is there an anecdote related to this language from your professional life or your school days that you would like to tell us about?

One thing I've noticed repeatedly throughout my teaching career is how quickly a student's confidence can change when they realize they are actually capable of communicating.

I've had students who initially apologized every time they made a mistake or were afraid to speak at all. After a few months of regular conversation practice, they started expressing opinions, telling stories and even joking in English.

For me, those moments are much more rewarding than simply seeing a student get a grammar exercise right. When someone suddenly stops translating every sentence in their head and starts communicating naturally, you can really see that the language has become theirs.
  • Help us get to know you a little better, and tell us a little more about your previous travels and/or stays abroad.

Languages have always been closely connected to travel and discovering new cultures for me. I've had the opportunity to live abroad and interact with people from very different linguistic and cultural backgrounds, which has made me even more aware of how important English can be as a bridge between people who don't share the same native language.

I've also travelled in different countries, and some of my most interesting experiences have involved simply communicating with local people and other travellers. These experiences influence my teaching because I don't want my students to learn English only for a classroom or an exam. I want them to be prepared for real situations, whether that's travelling, studying abroad, attending a business meeting, making international friends, or simply having a spontaneous conversation.
  • In a nutshell: What makes you a Superprof?

I think what makes me a Superprof is the combination of experience, patience and a genuinely speaking-focused approach.

I've taught students of very different ages, levels and backgrounds, from complete beginners and children to professionals preparing for important meetings and students working toward Cambridge and other exams.

I don't believe there is one perfect teaching method for everyone. I adapt my lessons to the student's personality, goals and level, and I try to create an environment where making mistakes is completely normal.

Most importantly, I want my students to leave a lesson feeling that they have actually used English, not just studied it.
