Growing up on a flower farm, I have been surrounded by the wonders of botany and nature since childhood. This early exposure ignited a lifelong passion for science, particularly in the fields of botany and biotechnology.
My journey first led me to earn a BSc in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (specialising in genetics and microbiology) before earning an MSc in Plant Biotechnology, where I delved into the molecular mechanisms that govern plant growth, development, and genetic modification. With nearly four years of tutoring experience, I have honed my skills in conveying complex scientific concepts in a clear and engaging manner. My background helps me to bridge practical, hands-on experience with advanced theoretical knowledge, providing students with a well-rounded experience.

I like to begin with a concise summary to introduce key concepts, often supplemented with visual aids like slides, diagrams, and videos. If possible, I like to present real-world problems related to the subject being taught and guide students through the process of finding solutions, fostering critical thinking and application of knowledge, rather than simply regurgitating textbook answers. I believe it is also very important to encourage asking questions and engage in discussions, which helps to test how well you understand the topic. I am patient, approachable, and committed to creating a supportive learning environment. My background in plant biotechnology allows me to provide insights into current research and industry practices, making the lessons more relevant and inspiring for students. Additionally, my nearly four years of tutoring experience have equipped me with the skills to identify and address common learning challenges effectively. These lessons are primarly aimed at school students (both primary and high-school pupils) along with BSc students.
