Über Joy
Mabuhay! My name is Joy, and I’m from the beautiful island of Bohol in the Philippines, currently living in Germany.
I’m a native Filipino speaker, fluent in both Filipino (Tagalog) and Cebuano (Bisaya), and comfortable communicating in English.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Office Administration and have experience working in professional and multicultural environments, including the Philippines and Europe.
Living abroad has helped me appreciate the importance of language in connecting people from different cultures.
I would love to share my native languages and Filipino culture with people who are interested in learning, whether for travel, relationships, family connections, or personal development.
Although I’m beginning my journey as a private language tutor, I’m enthusiastic, patient, and committed to creating a welcoming learning environment.
My goal is to help students feel comfortable, confident, and motivated as they discover the Filipino language and culture.

Mabuhay! Welcome to my Filipino (Tagalog) lessons!
Would you like to learn Filipino for traveling, communicating with your Filipino partner or family, or simply discovering a new language? I’m here to help!
As a native Filipino speaker fluent in both Tagalog and Cebuano (Bisaya), I offer friendly, interactive, and personalized online lessons for children, teenagers, and adults.
What you can expect from my lessons:
* Everyday conversations and practical vocabulary
* Pronunciation and speaking practice
* Basic grammar and sentence construction
* Useful expressions for traveling in the Philippines
* Filipino culture, traditions, and common expressions
* Lessons adapted to your learning level and personal goals
My teaching approach is relaxed, patient, and encouraging. I believe learning a new language should be enjoyable, not stressful.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or already know some Filipino, we’ll work together at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Lessons are conducted in English, with plenty of opportunities to practice speaking Filipino.
I also offer Cebuano (Bisaya) conversation lessons for interested students.
