I am a graduate of Engineering and I have taught mathematics for over 3 years. I'm well grounded in arithmetic and geometry.

I had the privilege of being taught Further Mathematics by Mrs. Essien during my secondary school years, and beyond being an excellent teacher, she was someone I could genuinely connect with. One thing that stands out about her is her ability to communicate knowledge in a way that every student can understand, while making sure no one is left behind.
What makes Mrs. Essien exceptional is how deeply she cares about her students, both academically and personally. She has a unique way of reaching the heart of her students, understanding what they may be struggling with, and helping them find the motivation to keep going. She is approachable, easy to talk to, and creates an environment where students feel comfortable being open about their challenges.
I personally experienced this in SS2 when I was declining academically without even realizing it. Mrs. Essien noticed, called me aside, and had a heartfelt conversation with me that changed my mindset completely. That moment made me reflect, push myself harder, and strive to become better. It was a turning point for me, and I will always be grateful for her genuine concern and guidance.
What I admire most about her teaching style is her dedication and patience. Whenever you meet her for private tutoring, she gives you her full attention and makes sure you are truly following. If you are struggling, she does everything possible to help you catch up without ever making you feel inadequate. She balances professionalism with warmth, and that makes learning under her both effective and encouraging.
I wholeheartedly recommend Mrs. Essien to any student. She is the kind of teacher who leaves a lasting positive impact, and anyone privileged to learn from her will undoubtedly grow academically, personally, and in confidence. She makes learning feel achievable, and that is a rare gift.

Essien taught me Further Mathematics in secondary school. She was the best teacher, knowing maths so well and being able to explain it well enough for students' understanding. She is not just good at her job, but is also friendly and welcoming, making the learning experience perfect.
