Über Magnus
Sporting a track record as an engineer for the likes of James Arthur, Goddard., and Isabella Summers (Florence and The Machine) and racking up millions of plays as a mixer and mastering engineer, I'm all about bringing the most emotion out of songs through incredible sonics and character.
I'm a professional producer and mixing + mastering engineer with over a decade of experience engineering and producing in some of the best studios in London and beyond. My work has been featured everywhere from BBC Radio 1 to KCRW and KEXP, Amazon and more.
My experience tells me that qualifications don't matter in the music industry at all. What matters is what you can do and I am a working professional building on years of experience. I do however, have a BA (Hons) in Music Production from Leeds Conservatoire, if that matters to you.

Your music isn't just a technical exercise, it's a story to be told. Are you just getting started or an experienced musician/producer looking for fresh ideas? I'll give you tips on how to quickly get your songs from A-B without getting caught in the weeds. Advice on how and when to use what plugins and techniques, whether it's songwriting and arrangement tools or recording and mixing techniques, and provide a mindset that will set you apart.
Each lesson will be tailored to you and what you want to learn. We can cover recording and mic technique, mixing, mastering and arrangement. It can be as simple as brainstorming creative recording techniques together with the tools you have available in your room, to opening your session and tweaking it together in realtime, to me showing you my own workflow on my mixes and masters.
The lessons can be done over Zoom, with high quality audio streaming from my DAW so you can watch me in real time, or at my studio near Pilgramgasse.
I approach music as a fan first, making sure every section and element is hitting all the right emotions using techniques gained over the years. I want to share these techniques with you.
