Über Brian
I have excellent writing skills and am very articulate. The combination of this talent and passion, together with my subject-related skills enables me to offer something very special. I was originally an economics and business academic in South Africa and New Zealand, after which I moved to Germany. I now specialize in academic editing and academic English, not only of business and economics material, but in all the social sciences, and even beyond, such as history.
I have the following qualifications that are relevant in this language context:
1. Masters and doctorate on Management and Organizational Theory and many publications in this and related fields.
2. Taught presentation skills in various subject contexts and levels (from undergraduate to professors) for over 15 years and have an enormous collection of resources on English for presenting and on the more general presentation skills. Taught courses in academic writing for many years to business & economics students as well as those in various other fields.
3. Edited hundreds of academic articles in diverse fields ranging from economics and business, to psychology, communication science and history.
4. Excellent understanding of the idiom and vocabulary in all these fields, including social science research methodology and statistical English.
5. This work has been supplemented by a successful part-time career as a management, financial and education journalist, for over 20 years.

MULTIFACETED & SOPHISTICATED INTERDISCIPLINARY WORK CONFERENCE TRAINING I offer various services (native English speaker) with a rare combination of academic and language skills. For presentations, I cover the use of written and spoken English (pronunciation too!), as well as the non-language issues such as slide formulation and use, use of voice, and common weaknesses in introductions & conclusions.
ACADEMIC EDITING Extensive further information on the nature of my work, references, and comments from clients are available on request. I can also do a free sample or explain more in a Zoom call. Artificial intelligence cannot be more than a very limited substitute for my detailed and extensive work, covering all aspects of the English and academic correctness. I also give online training sessions on academic writing.

This price is very reasonable, considering my skills and both the quality & comprehensiveness of my work. My usual price is far higher. As my profile indicates, I have formal qualifications to the highest level and extensive experience, as well as a real talent for this combination of language and academic work. I also have an extremely extensive range of material to draw on for both presentation training and editing written material. I would thus suggest that we start on this pricing basis, but feel free to let me know if you have any suggestions. A discount for several sessions is possible. I am happy to provide a free first online session so you can see and hear the quality of my work.
