Über Lutz
I am a sound artist and musician who has composed sound pieces and music for theatre and dance companies, podcasts, films and art exhibitions. I currently live in Berlin. I studied Sound Design and Sound Engineering at the ‘SP - Escola de Teatro’ in São Paulo from 2013 - 2015. In addition to working as a sound artist in various independent theatre groups, I worked as a sound engineer/mixer for the renowned theatre group Teatro da Vertigem in São Paulo.
My music, sound collages and sound installations have been performed in various productions at the Theatre Oberhausen, Theater Coburg, Landestheater Schwaben - Memmingen, Erzgebirgisches Theater, Errant-Sound, ACUD, Babylon Berlin, Soundfestival Floating Transmissions - Hamburg, Teatro da Vertigem - São Paulo, Goethe Institut - São Paulo, Memorial da Resistência - São Paulo, Theater Sergio Cardoso - São Paulo, Dance Festival PRISMA - Panama City, Theater Anita Villalaz - Panama City, and others.

I will help you to realise your idea, step by step.
Which sounds would be most evocative?
Which microphones do you need?
How can you use Ableton Live or other programmes?
How can you make music from everyday sounds?
How can you edit recordings and use effects?
How to mix everything so the end result is professional and high quality.
Which speakers do you need, how to position and program them for multi-channel installations?
How can I create a great art installation using sound?
We will work through all these questions together. It is important to me that your wishes take centre stage and that you learn by ‘doing it’ and trying out your own ways. I will accompany you and support you wherever you may be in your process.
We always work with practical examples.
Whether you want to make a professional sound installation to a live performance or podcast with an evocative sound design, I can help.

Ich habe mit Lutz sowohl Einzeln- als auch Gruppenunterricht gehabt (B2 und C2 Prüfungsvorbereitung). Er ist ein sehr netter und lebendiger Mensch und bemüht sich um eine interessante Unterricht zu geben. Er hat immer Themen gebracht, die mir gefallen und hat u.a. aktuelle Medien benutzt. Nachdem ich umgezogen bin, habe ich weiter per Skype mit ihm gearbeitet, weil ich in Heidelberg keinen solchen Lehrer fand. Super empfohlen!
