Über Andrea
I am a CELTA-certified American English trainer with 15 years of experience helping adults and corporate professionals communicate with greater confidence.
I was born in Slovakia but moved to the United States as a young child. I was immediately placed in the American education system and had to adapt quickly to a new language, culture and way of communicating. I worked hard to understand the world around me, connect with others and find where I belonged. By immersing myself in life in the United States while remaining connected to my Slovak roots, I developed a genuinely bicultural perspective that continues to shape who I am today.
Because I have experienced this struggle myself, I understand how it feels when you cannot yet express your intelligence, personality or ideas in the way you want. I also know that, with the right support, this barrier can be overcome.
Before becoming an English trainer, I worked in publishing and public relations in New York City. That experience taught me the value of clear messages, human connection and compelling storytelling. Today, I combine my professional communications background with practical, learner-centred teaching to help people find their own voice in English.
I am naturally curious, encouraging and genuinely interested in every person I teach. I am particularly passionate about business communication, storytelling, career development and sustainability.
My life remains international: I travel between Europe and the United States, often accompanied by my rescue dog, Tiga. My connection to both cultures continues to shape the warmth, openness and international perspective I bring to my lessons.

You will practice situations that matter to you—from contributing confidently in meetings to telling a compelling story during a presentation, interview or business pitch. I provide supportive, focused feedback so you can recognize recurring mistakes, speak more naturally and make steady progress.
Whether you want to get hired, earn a promotion, sell a product or idea, work internationally or feel more confident with colleagues and clients, we will focus on the communication skills that can help you move forward. Together, we will turn your English knowledge into confident, purposeful communication you can use when it matters most.
