Über Ali
I'm Ali, a Banking and Finance master's student in Vienna. Maths and quantitative thinking have been at the centre of my studies for years — statistics, econometrics, and programming in Python — and over time I've come to enjoy the moment a confusing idea finally clicks for someone even more than solving the problem myself.
I started tutoring because I kept noticing the same thing: most people aren't "bad at maths", they just have one missing step from earlier that makes everything after it feel impossible. Once you find and fix that step, the fear fades quickly. I'm patient and calm, and I never make anyone feel slow for asking a question. I explain things in plain language, in English or Persian, and I genuinely enjoy helping students go from dreading a subject to feeling in control of it.

Hi, I'm Ali — a Banking and Finance master's student in Vienna with a strong quantitative background. I teach in English and Persian.
What I tutor: Maths (algebra, functions, calculus, probability, and school or first-year university maths), Statistics (descriptive stats, probability, distributions, hypothesis testing, regression, intro econometrics), and Python — a real strength, from fundamentals through pandas and data analysis, including Python for statistics and finance coursework, plus debugging your code and explaining why it broke.
How I work: I find the exact step where you get stuck, rebuild it, and give you a clear, repeatable method instead of memorised tricks. A typical lesson starts by reviewing what's unclear, teaches one concept with worked examples, then has you practise while I coach. After every lesson I send a short written recap and a couple of practice problems that you keep, so progress is easy to see.
Who I'm great for: school and university students, IB/A-level learners, and anyone who feels anxious or "behind" in maths. I'm patient, calm, and structured. Lessons are online with a shared whiteboard and screen sharing, or in person in Vienna for English and Persian speakers.
