Über Philipp
I have a Master’s degree in German linguistics and approximately ten years of work experience teaching German as a foreign language.
In this time I have taught many classes at all levels ranging from A1 to C1. I have helped students prepare language exams required to enter German university. I have also taught several German integration courses helping students of various cultural backgrounds get their German language certificate.

In my teaching methods, I try to follow the “natural approach” developed by Dr. Stephen Krashen and Dr. Tracy Terrell as well as “Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling (TPRS)” developed by Blaine Ray.
In essence, what this means is that my lessons are geared towards my students acquiring German simply by being exposed to the language at a level that they can comprehend. In my lessons, I as the teacher do most of the talking. My students’ job is to pay attention and try to comprehend what I am saying.
This method has been shown to achieve better results than traditional teaching methods which focus on memorizing vocabulary and studying rules of grammar.
