• 1) How is it that you speak this language fluently? Is this related to your origins, or did a teacher once awaken your passion for it?

  I can speak 4 languages fluently firstly because my parents are of different nationalities so in my childhood we spoke 2 different languages in our household.
  At university I studied Modern languages and linguistics.

• 2) Name a person - living, historical, or fictional - who you think best represents this culture!

  I think Italian culture would be best represented by Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo . They are iconic figures who contributed to painting, sculpture and other fields.

• 3) Is there a word, expression, tradition, or typical behavior in the language you teach that particularly impresses or amuses you?

  I think Italian hand gestures are really amusing as well as they are integral part of the language and culture.

• 4) Why do you think it is so important to master this language (be it for school/university, work, or personal reasons)?

  I think Italian and English are absolutely beautiful languages. English is the language of business and professional life while Italy is one of the most popular touristic destinations in the whole world because of its culture , gastronomy and natural beauties so to understand the culture we need to speak the language.

• 5) What is particularly difficult about learning this language, or why is it particularly worthwhile?

  I think for many people Italian grammar tenses can be a bit difficult.

• 6) Is there an anecdote related to this language from your professional life or school days that you would like to share with us?

  -

• 7) Help us get to know you a little better and tell us a little more about your previous travels and/or stays abroad (related to the language you teach or in general).

  I spent almost my entire life in Italy. I always felt interested in discovering many places within the country so I have visited almost all regions and the most important touristic sights of it.

• 8) In short: What makes you a Superprof? (In addition to successfully mastering several languages...)

  I have been teaching languages for almost 25 years now. During these long years I had the chance to get to know many students and teaching methods. I think it helped me a lot on shaping my teaching style to adapt it to students' needs and to target their linguistic difficulties focusing on their individual needs and interests.
