Perfect! Alan is an excellent flute teacher. 2 months ago my daughter didn’t even know how to start to play on the flute and now she is playing small songs alone! Amazing how fast Alan was able to teach her for the basics and every time she just surprises me with the next level of talent. Alan is a great teacher. He is very organized and knowledgeable, as well as patient and professional. Every lesson is planned, and he has been going with my pace with relevant homework. He also makes sure I have proper techniques and embouchure, even when it means I have to relearn something, in order not to have any issues down the road.

Alan has been an incredible tutor for our 11 year old for the past few months. We gave him very open agendas to work with her in terms what we hoped to see out of her flute lessons. For reference, she's in 5th grade and had only experiences playing a few notes and the few things she's learned from band.

Alan was able to evaluate her current skills, construct a lesson plan and work with her following the plan each week. Within the first few weeks, we noticed she's shown a lot more interest, confidence and is able to play a handful of songs that she chose with Alan.

Alan is an amazing, kind, gifted and and experienced teacher. He intuitively knows how to engage the interest of small children and interest them in music theory. As a musician he is passionate about his instrument and shares his love of music with positivity and gentle encouragement. There is a strong balance of fun alongside of steady pathways through learning step by step, that is great for a young student and I am sure for a student of any age. It will definitely be a wonderful experience to have an opportunity to do lessons with him! Go for it! :-)
